Reception have been completing obstacles on the Adventure Trail this week in PE. Showing their determination and resilience when completing all of the tasks. From climbing and jumping off the wooden beams, running through tyres, navigating through tunnels and the sheer determination to run up the steep slopes. Everyone had a fantastic time and listened carefully to the instructions and followed all the directions. The children showed reciprocity through working together, helping, supporting and praising each other.
"I'm going in and out, in and out, in and out." Hussam
"Whoah, this is fun." Danny
The obstacles provided opportunities for the children to be active and develop their coordination, control and movements. Being physically active not only strengthens muscles and develops the heart and lungs, it also supports the development of the brain.
