Dear Parents and Carers,
Today we have some activities for your child whilst at home. These will also be shared with you on Evidence Me Parent Share.
Story: Santa is coming to London! Read by the YouTube account 'Give us a Story'
Here is the link.
Activity: Create a memory book.
Whilst learning is taking place at home, a memory book may be a nice way to reflect on what life is like at this time and something to look back in years to come.
Here is an example of what you might include in your memory book, it is also printable.
Activity: Dancing!
Mrs Light led a dance to Oops Upside your head, try this activity at home and send us your videos in via Evidence Me. This is a great gross motor activity developing the core (and it is fun). Here is a link to the routine if you are not familiar with the song. A video of the children taking part in nursery is on Evidence me.
What other songs can you dance to?
Access e-books and audio books for free through this link. All you need is your library card or your phone number to sign in: https://llc.overdrive.com/library/youth/
The YouTube account, Give us a Story, has many more books to access and listen to for free.
Please upload any photos or videos of your child joining in with the activities using Evidence Me. You will need to tag your child in it for us to view.
Many of you have understandably chosen not to send your children in this week with the run up to the Christmas Holidays. Havering have confirmed that these absences will be authorised due to the exceptional circumstances as a bubble closure would mean self-isolating (staying at home without mixing) across Christmas.
We wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! See you in 2021, when nursery reopens at usual timings on Monday 4th January. We will also be welcoming new children into the nursery on this date!
Kind regards,
The Nursery Team
