Everything You Need for a Treehouse
14.11.22-18.11.22
This week we have been reading the book Everything You Need for a Treehouse. The children took part in a range of activities related to the book.
Some children painted a tree and they tried very hard to control the paintbrush to create some fantastic representations.
Some children used natural materials and collage resources to make treehouses.
Some children manipulated the playdough to make a tree.
And some children built treehouses while the adult read the story to them. They discussed what they would need to build a strong treehouse and gathered the resources they needed to build it.
We even engaged in some small world play using the treehouse that was very kindly donated to us this week.
The children have come so far since September, it is great to see them using the resources with purpose and being resourceful with available materials in the Nursery.
