Nursery: Home Learning Friday 5th March 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Spring 2; Week 2 Theme: World Book Day

Today’s learning includes:

  • Story

  • Activity

  • Daily Challenge

  • Physical Development

Our daily activities will reflect the adult led learning that would have taken place in nursery so it is important that your child engages with this learning in addition to CHILD-LED PLAY

We will be responding to Evidence Me Parent Shares each week to see how your child is getting on at home.

Story: The Train Ride, with Mrs Light

Click here to watch the story.

Activity: Silly Soup with Mrs Chisholm

Join in with Silly Soup today. Mrs Chisholm has made silly soup looking at rhyming words with the ‘og’ sound. Get a bowl and spoon to join in here.

Extension: Ready for another rhyming silly soup? Join Miss Cumming with rhyming words that have the ‘ox’/ ‘ocks’ sound here.

Need more challenge?

If your child is feeling very confident with identifying rhyming words, they may wish to join in with this initial sounds activity focussing on /a/. If they are still learning rhyming words and getting to understand them keep the focus on other rhyming games rather than moving them onto initial sounds.

Daily Challenge

Morning your challenge today is to find triangle shaped objects around your house, in your garden or if you go to the park. Please could you take a photo and share with us.
