Reception Awards 05.03.2021

 


A super well done to this week's award winners! You have all worked incredibly hard and have been rewarded for your tremendous attitude and effort! Excellent work Reception!


E for Excellence


Apple: Nyasa, for her hard work in all areas of her learning this week. Nyasa made a brilliant Wanted Poster and helped Supertato by capturing the Evil Pea! Well done Nyasa! 





Aspen: Olivia, you have been working super hard this term in all areas of the curriculum. You have shown a great attitude towards the RWI and math sessions. You have been super throughout our superhero topic and made healthy fruit kebabs and Superhero vegetables too! Excellent work Olivia.




Alder: Torsten, for your excellent attitude towards remote learning. You have worked hard every day to complete all of your tasks! This week, you have been super creative with your Supertato work, creating Evil Pea from peas and making your own Supertato and Lego prison. Excellent work Torsten!





 Star Writers 

Apple: Robyn, for her excellent sentence replying to the Evil Pea’s ransom note. Robyn remembered to use a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop at the end of her sentence. Well done Robyn!




Aspen: Aniah-Mai, for your excellent Tomato Girl superhero. You worked super hard to create your superhero and write about her flying and laser eye super powers. 



Alder: Ite, for your fantastic writing in the phonic session. You have been working hard in Literacy and using the weekly spellings to write your own sentences. Well done Ite!


Learning Power Awards
These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 

Reciprocity
These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others.

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.

Resilience
These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 
This has been awarded to:

Jasmine, for creating her superhero carrots and describing their super special powers. She worked hard to create her superhero carrots using a variety of material and media.




 Chloe, for persevering with her Reading and Writing. Chloe used her sounds to write a brilliant reply to the Evil Pea’s ransom note. She remembered all of her sentence rules, well done Chloe!






Resourcefulness   
These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources. 
This has been awarded to:

Tesha, for designing, creating and making your own 'What the Ladybird Heard Next’ costume for World Book Day. Outstanding work Tesha!

Parisa, for using different resources at home to retell the story of Supertato. Parisa also helped to prepare and make a pizza and bake a delicious coconut and jam cake. Well done Parisa!
