Nursery: Fun this week 5th -9th July 2021

Outdoor learning


The children have had lots of fun outdoors with their friends.They have

been role playing in the wendy house, pretend cooking, creating

transport using crates and giant blocks and exploring minibeasts they

discover in the garden.

Pirates


This was the last week of our theme; PIRATES! The children have

really enjoyed all the activities, going out in true pirate fashion for

our pirate dress up day this week.

Yo ho ho, way to go Broadford nursery! 









Sports Day practice


The children have had lots of fun practicing for our 

SPORTS DAY on MONDAY 12th JULY.

We have been practicing how to move our bodys under, over and 

through the equipment safely whilst having fun and keeping our

balance.

SHAPE Activity (Wellbeing Curriculum)


SHAPE Activity Focus: SOUL


We have been learning to explore who we are, understand ourselves,

growing ourselves and continuously improving, being at ease with

ourselves, learning  and practicing gratitude, reducing screen time

and pushing ourselves as we prepare for transition to reception. 


This week the children have been making their own toast and washing

up their own plates.


The children were entertained by a surprise puppet show in the

garden organised and created by Emily.

          Important dates:

  • Monday 12th July: Nursery Sports Day 

  • Friday 16th July: End of year reports sent home

  • 12th to 16th July: Story time with Reception teachers 

  • Tuesday 20th July: Moving up day- Reception

  • Thursday 22nd July: Last day of the nursery

  • Friday 23rd July: INSET day (nursery and school closed)
