Reception Awards 02.07.2021

 

We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Reception! These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Apple: Haileigh, you have been working super duper hard this week in all areas! You have shown me how many pennies were in the Piggy Banks and made an amazing boat that was able to float. Well done Haileigh, proud of you. 


Aspen: Aniah-Mai, you have been working super hard on your writing skills in the RWI sessions and the Topic sessions. You completed a fantastic ‘Lost!’ poster using full sentences and your phonic knowledge! Well done Aniah-Mai!


Alder: Oscar, for alway being curious. You are always excited by the learnings taking place in school. You are always eager to learn and this makes you a great positive role model to your peers!







 Star Writers 

Apple: Leo, you worked very hard this week in topic where you created your own monster and described it. I have to admit I was a little bit scared of it! Well done Leo. 

Aspen: Ruby, you have worked super hard to complete your topic writing. You have created ‘Wanted’ and ‘Lost’ posters and used imaginative descriptive language. Well done Ruby!

Alder:  Lucas, for writing a lovely sentence to describe the penguin for your 'lost' poster. Great work!









Learning Power Awards
These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 

Reciprocity
These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective ideas and methods from others. 

This has been awarded to: Andreea, for making, creating and drawing super nicely with your friends in the making area. It is lovely to see you invite others to join too. Well done Andreea.


Nashwan, for collaborating well in his lessons this week. You listened to your learning partner and worked well together. 

Sultan,  you collaborated with your partner in Maths this week, listening to them and communicating well. Well done - great effort!


Samuel, for wondering collaborating with your peers during our boat building lessons. You really enjoyed it and listened well.




Reflectiveness 
These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.

Ayat, for carefully thinking what to write about the Monster you created and correcting any mistakes you made. Well done Ayat!

Thomas, you have worked hard in the math session, you were able to use correct vocabulary related to measure when completing your tasks.



Pico, for identifying key features in Math this week. You were able to talk about your learning in our money and capacity lessons.

Resilience
These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks.

Carter, for being absorbed in your maths learning this week. you really enjoyed learning about capacity and money.





Resourcefulness   
These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources.
