Outdoor learning
The sun has been out and the children have had lots of fun learning in the garden with friends
Fun with Maths
The children have been learning about shapes; using shapes to make pictures, counting sides and learning their names. During play the children have been counting their blocks to identify if they have more or less blocks than their friends. The children have also been fishing for numbers and measuring capacity through water play. Go nursery!

Under the sea
The children have been engrossed in learning about life under the sea. They especially like learning about String- rays, fish scales and discovering shell prints using play dough.
Role play: learning about Different types of jobs
The children have been enjoying our role play area. They have discovered different work roles, including: Ship Captain, Scuba diver, Submarine Captain and scientist. Their favourite role of the week was learning about photographers! The children enjoyed using the Ipads to take photos of objects, friends and teachers around the nursery.

SHAPE Activity (Wellbeing Curriculum)
SHAPE Activity Focus: ENVIRONMENT
This week the children have been enjoying Caring for and protecting animals from the garden. They have rehomed the Nursery wormery to the allotments. The children worked together to dig a hole and safely place the worms in the earth. Some children kept watch for birds, after learning birds like to eat worms.

Friday 18th June: School Photograph day
Friday 02nd July: Pirate dress up day (Nursery only)
Friday 16th July: End of year reports will be sent home
Thursday 22nd July: Last day of the nursery and school year
Friday 23rd July: INSET day (nursery and school closed)

Please note the nursery will be having a pirate dress up day after half term (date to be confirmed).
