Numeracy

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

Thursday

Friday

Go through the Number 20

and work out the number problems. Can you make the number on their fingers with a family member? Record different ways of making 20 on paper or a whiteboard.

Go on a number hunt around your home looking for the number 20. Can you represent the number 20 or make the number 20? Write up all the addition number sentences you can find.

Practise your numbers from 0-20.

Watch Numberblocks 11-15

What did you notice?

The numbers after 10 have a pattern. The numbers 11-15 all start with a number 1. That tells us that they’re built with the number 10. Look at the 10 number card: Numicon Numbers. This shows us that there’s one 10 and nothing else. Look at the number card 11. This shows us that there’s one 10 and 1 more. Go through the Numicon Numbers from 10-15.

Can you make the numbers 11-15? You could use cubes or construction.

Watch Numberblocks 11-15

Look at the Numicon Numbers 10-15. Can you work out which picture goes with which number? How can you tell?

Watch Numberblocks - 16-20.

What do you notice? The numbers follow the same pattern as 11-15. They are all built with the number 10. Look at the number card 16.: Numicon numbers This shows us that there is one 10 and one 6. How can we build this number? Look at the numbers 17-20: Numicon numbers

Make the numbers 16-20 using cubes or construction. Remember that you need to always start with a tower of 10 to build each number.

Look at the Numicon Numbers 16-20. Can you work out which picture goes with which number? How can you tell?

Wellbeing Wednesday

Reception, on Wellbeing Wednesday you can take a break from your computers and devices and take part in lots of fun, different activities outside or around your home.

This afternoon, complete these mindfulness activities:

Have a teddy bear’s picnic with your favourite toys! You can have healthy picnic snacks and tell your teddies stories.

You could also go for a walk in your local area. What did you notice on your walk? Did you see any animals or notice any changes to any of the trees or wildlife?

You may want to help your family with any chores around the house. You could tidy your room or help with folding clothes away or washing up.

Why not help your family to prepare and make a healthy dinner or bake something delicious in the afternoon!

We hope you enjoy taking part in Wellbeing Wednesday.

Please let us know what you got up to and share your learning with us!

Please email us at eyfs@broadford.havering.sch.uk to contact a member of the Reception Team. Please submit work using a Parent Postcard on Evidence Me. Keep checking the Broadford More Blogs page EYFS Blog Page and Facebook page for updates.
