This week in Reception, we have been focusing on the celebration of Diwali. Through this festival, we have enjoyed the story of Rama and Sita. The children have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story. Exploring the acts of bravery, and thinking about the good and bad characters. With this focus, we created a full size demon god Ravana.
After working on shapes within our maths session, the children have been using coloured paper cut into circles, rectangles, triangles and squares to create the ten heads of Ravana. Using a variety of patterns the children will make the hands of Ravana too, in the mark making area.
