To finish our bonanza of a week we had a bonfire on Friday afternoon. The children had great fun singing camp songs and toasting marshmallows. They were also incredibly sensible, they listened to and followed the fire safety instructions. Danny sensibly said "The fire is hot, we need to stay back".

What a celebration in Reception!!
The Reception children have been exploring the celebration of 'Guy Fawkes' this week. They have enjoyed finding out about the history of it and how we like to celebrate. The children have been involved in fire safety talks, had the opportunity to take part in various art experiences and been encouraged to write onomatopoeia's that demonstrate the sounds fireworks make. During this writing activity Srinika said "Fire works go bang", as she wrote the initial sound she could hear.
