Freddie Four visits Reception!

The Reception children were very fortunate to have a special visitor last week..... Freddie Four! The children were introduced to the Ten Town characters at the start of the school year and have been using them to help form their numbers correctly since. Each number is a different character and it comes with a story and a rhyme to help remember how to form the number.

Freddie Four is currently touring Primary School's across the country and Broadford Primary School were fortunate enough to be paid a visit. The children were avidly awaiting Freddie's arrival, so when the box arrived in Apple Class one afternoon, there was lots of excitement. "I think its Freddie Four in the box!" said Madalina. "Look in his backpack, he has four of everything" exclaimed Iyinope as he excitedly tried out the telescopes. The children have really enjoyed playing with Freddie, showing him around our outside area and exploring the contents of his backpack - he really does own four of everything!

Our new interactive whiteboards have been a big hit and ideal for practicing our number formation on the Ten Town game......down, across, oar in the water!
