This week we have based our learning around the story ‘The Bad Tempered Ladybird’.

We have our 5 daily sessions for you to enjoy today. You have unlimited access to our favourite exercise and brain break session, 5 a day tv. You can access exciting dance routines and chilled out meditations. Join us for Maths, Topic and an end of the day story and remember to have lots of fun and games too!

Reception Home Learning Timetable

Please see the timetable below for Reception home learning sessions and timings for today. Families can decide the best times for these to take place. However we recommend that the children only sit and work for half an hour at a time. Younger children can find it harder to concentrate for longer periods of time. It is recommended to have breaks between the sessions.

Maths   Counting Song   Exploring Subtraction as Take Away  (30 minutes) Can you count down from 20-0?  Can you play I count, you count and practise counting down from different starting points? Look at the Subtraction number problems.  Activity: Can you use cubes or a different set of objects from around your home to solve them?  Can you record your number sentences?  Look at the Addition & Subtraction  number problems. Can you explain what you need to do and solve the problems?	Session 3
Topic (30 minutes) Watch Miss Hurrell’s Topic Lesson Listen to the story  Story Time for Reception - The Bad Tempered Ladybird and say or make the correct time. You could make your own clock: The Bad Tempered Ladybird Resources Or you could make a clock using paper or a whiteboard and pen.  And then make the correct times as you listen to the story.  Activity: Retell the story and when you say the times try and make the correct times.
