Reception Home Learning Timetable

Good Morning Reception and welcome back! Please see the timetable below for today's Reception home learning. Families can decide the best times for these to take place. However, we recommend that the children only sit and work for half an hour maximum at a time. Younger children can find it harder to concentrate for longer periods of time. It is recommended to have breaks between the sessions.

Phonics RWI (Speed sound session 15 minutes) (Word and Spelling Time & Ditty Reading  30 minutes  Click here for RWI Online Ditty Books  The ditties can be read 1 per day as part of your child’s daily reading. These books are aimed at those children who are segmenting sounds and blending to read. Phonics RWI  Click here for RWI Virtual School links.	Maths (30 minutes) Maths Starter Lesson Continuing with our recognition of numbers we are playing Recognition Bingo  Play alongside your adult to see who can match and recognise the numbers first.  Challenge:  Using the recognition bingo 0-15.  You could ask your child to locate the number by saying one more or less than that number.	Topic (30 minutes) Reread or listen to the story -The Gingerbread Man. Watch Miss Hurrell's Topic Lesson  What could The Gingerbread Man be saying? Fill in The Gingerbread Man Speech Bubble with what you think he would say.	End of day story Miss Gibson reads The Gingerbread Man
