During this time it can be difficult to know who to speak to about the little things or problems that you as parents and carers face. The aim of these weekly parent and carer blogs is to keep you up to date with additional support and where to find it.
Whether you are looking for a new job, want to upskill or get some experience through voluntary work, this blog is for you.

Whilst at home, where can I access free online courses?
Havering Adult College:
For over 50 years, Havering Adult College has been bringing a range of diverse opportunities to the residents of Havering (and beyond), and this year is no different as they move to remote learning.
Find a course here.
Havering Colleges, Distance Learning:
A range of free 10-12 week online courses, which are both career and life enhancing, are offered to anyone aged 19 and over. The qualifications gained are accredited at Level 2 and are instantly recognisable by employers.
Visit the website here and follow the distance learning link.
Learning Curve:
Whatever your ambitions, start fulfilling them by taking your next step with a Learning Curve course. Learners may be eligible for funding (the learner must live in England and be over 19 years old) which means the course won’t cost a thing to complete.
“I have completed two Level 2 courses for free through Learning Curve, it was simple to register and I enjoyed completing the courses in my own time at home. I completed the ‘Counselling Skills’ and ‘Awareness of Mental Health Problems’ courses which I now have certificates for and include on my CV,” Miss Cumming.
