This week our home learning will be based around the traditional tale ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’.

Reception Home Learning Timetable

Please see the timetable below for Reception home learning sessions and timings. Families can decide the best times for these to take place. However we recommend that the children only sit and work for half an hour  at a time. Younger children can find it harder to concentrate for longer periods of time. It is recommended to have breaks between the sessions.

Maths (30 minutes) Number Formation with Mrs Gradley  Listen to... Counting Song 1-20 Singing Walrus Counting Song 10-20 Read the Ten Town formation slides practice air writing the numbers correctly. Practice your writing formation. Write numbers from 0-20 and keep these for tomorrow's activity. 0-9 and 0-10 and 0-20. Ten Town Formation  Challenge Make representations cards for numbers 0-11 We will use these in tomorrow’s session!	Session 3
Topic (30 minutes) Watch Miss Hurrell's Lesson. Look at the different types of Bridges. Can you build a bridge for the goats to cross the river? What will you use to build your bridge? You could use:  Paper and sellotape Cocktail sticks Lollipop sticks  Straws and blu tac Lego Meccano Pasta pieces Kitchen roll Cardboard boxes Challenge: Build a bridge and send a picture via Evidence Me. Red Words Spelling Test

Each week we will be adding 5 red words for your child to practice spelling. We will upload the weekly spelling test video every Friday. Please help your child to practice reading and writing the spelling words.  Click here for a blank spelling worksheet.

Challenge: Write a sentence using each spelling word and send it to your class teacher.
