Goldilocks and The Three Bears

This week our home learning will be based around the traditional tale ‘Goldilocks and The Three Bears’.

Group 3 readers for Apple, Aspen, and Alder class this morning, the  timetable can be found below. We have our 5 daily sessions for you to enjoy today. Our weekly red word spellings for week 4 are ready to look, read, and write! You have unlimited access to our favourite exercise and brain break session, 5 a day tv. You can access exciting dance routines and chilled out meditations. Join Mrs Gradley for Maths and there are additional videos for number formation and Oak National Academy can be accessed from yesterday’s blog too, Miss Hurrell for Topic, it’s Well-Being Wednesday and we have our suggested non-screen activity for this afternoon and remember to have lots of fun and games too!

There was a wonderful response to 'Wellness Wednesday' last week as we encouraged you to take some time away from the screen or set work and find something that you take enjoyment from.  For this Wednesday afternoon, we have provided a cooking activity that you could do but this is not a set task. 

Reception Home Learning Timetable

Please see the timetable below for Reception home learning sessions and timings. Families can decide the best times for these to take place. However we recommend that the children only sit and work for half an hour  at a time. Younger children can find it harder to concentrate for longer periods of time. It is recommended to have breaks between the sessions.

Maths (30 minutes) Ordering two or three items by Length BBC Counting Songs Number formation with Mrs Gradley Click here for maths with Mrs Gradley  Hopefully, you will have collected some twigs/sticks on your daily walk. If you haven’t, see if you can find some twigs/sticks in your home or garden to use in today’s activity. If you are unable to find any you could tear up some different sized strips of paper and pretend they are twigs. Can you order four sticks by length?  Can you find something longer and shorter than your stick? How can we make measuring the length fair? Challenge Can you use pasta, cubes or  Lego bricks to measure your items.  (Make sure you use the same size objects to measure.)	Session 3

Red Words Spelling Test

Each week we will be adding 5 red words for your child to practice spelling. We will upload the weekly spelling test video every Friday. Please help your child to practice reading and writing the spelling words.  Click here for a blank spelling worksheet.

Challenge: Write a sentence using each spelling word and send it to your class teacher.
