Nursery: Home Learning Wednesday 3rd February 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Spring 1; Week 3 Theme: National Storytelling Week

Today’s learning includes:

  • Story

  • Activity

  • Physical Development

  • Daily Challenge: Wellbeing Wednesday

Our daily activities will reflect the adult led learning that would have taken place in nursery so it is important that your child engages with this learning in addition to CHILD-LED PLAY

We will be responding to Evidence Me Parent Shares each week to see how your child is getting on at home.

Daily Challenge: Wellbeing Wednesday

We are all spending a lot of time in front of our computer screens at the moment, which we understand is a lot and does not always have a positive effect on us. Whilst we know that so many of you are working really hard with online learning we know that it is always good to take a break; that is why we are introducing Wellbeing Wednesday. We want to enjoy an afternoon that involves no screens instead you could go for a walk and have an adventure outside, get cosy in a homemade den, or try and follow a recipe – with your parents’ help of course! We are looking forward to it and we hope you are as well.

Educational Websites

  • NRich (Maths) here

  • PE with Joe Wicks (live Mondays-Wednesdays) here

  • BBC Number Blocks Episodes here

  • Dough Disco YouTube Channel: Spread the Happiness

  • ‘Give us a Story’ YouTube Channel here

We understand that home learning is not the norm so take each day as it comes; if you are feeling overwhelmed at this time remember we are here to speak to. One of the best things during this time is to keep your child's usual routine for getting up, meal times and bedtime. Exercise is important for us all so wrapping up warm, getting outside in the fresh air also makes a big difference to our mental health.
